This is pretty much a one-man company. I definitely feel the smaller local pest companies provide more comprehensive service than the national name companies. Erik doesn't charge for the initial & pretty thorough inspection. However, if you hire him to do any of the rodent exclusion work he recommends or lay traps, I feel he ends up asking enough to cover the inspection as well. He also suggests bait stations with service every other month @ $75 per visit, but you can stop whenever you like. I did all of that and he comes when requested between times at no extra charge. For a separate cost, I know he also offers a smoke test of your sewer & waste pipes to identify possible break, or he'll build a nice solid, flush door for your crawl space. He's knowledgeable about rodents and offers plenty of advice. For me he quickly repaired 3 exterior entry points and successfully trapped and removed several rats, but didn't offer to do anything about the entry/exit points in the crawl (which admittedly was a mess). When I'd had that cleaned, he thoroughly inspected the work (no charge) and was satisfied the clean-out crew had properly sealed everything he'd found. He's super busy and might forget something he's promised thru a text, but forgotten to put on his calendar. He also may become convinced that a specific part of your home is the main problem area and get somewhat lax about traps in other area. My rodent problem is much improved after hiring him, but still not totally gone. It's great that you can hire him to complete at least some of the exclusion, rather than just get advice. However, I have yet to find someone who is as dedicated to solving each and every possible entry/exit point as I'd like.
