I dropped off my Outback after hours because check engine light and other warning lights came on half way home driving back from Oregon. Diagnostic fee of $150 found loose gas cap. A new gas cap and seal cost $50. They also stated front and rear brakes and other maintenance and repairs including tires (reported 3/32" tread depth) and need attention. Declined everything except brake job. Measured tire tread at home found tires with 4/32" to 5/32" tread remaining. Now I wonder if they were truthful on all the items they stated needed attention.

Takes weeks to get an appointment. The expectation is that they will have your car for days, but this isn't specified when the appointment is made.
