A Comfenergy sales rep came to my home for an estimate on replacing attic insulation. Aaron was very friendly and professional. Unfortunately, he took 3 hours looking over my home and making other recommendations for insulation projects. This would have been welcomed if that was what I wanted. An itemized estimate was printed out at the meeting. The cost for the attic was 1.5-2 times higher than other companies. Aaron offered discounts if I signed on. I am very wary of this tactic. It must say was a well prepared hard sell plan with beautiful visuals and brochures. But took way too long and was not competitively priced, even with the discounts offered.

I was referred to ComfEnergy by a HVAC company. I had insulated to DOE specifications already, but nonetheless the HVAC company wanted a "survey" of my place. A very nice "Certified Comfort & Energy Specialist" showed up and started telling me about how I needed more insulation and that it's important to "pack it in" to get maximum effect. (I know this to be completely wrong, based on DOE and other industry experts.) I told him that I was not interested in packing more insulation on top of what I have (R40) and he said he'd "get back to me". Before I could send pics of the insulation as it was going in, he called me within 20 minutes and suggested I just upgrade my HVAC. This felt like a up-selling exercise between the HVAC company and ComfEnergy, and I was really surprised by both. I would not trust nor recommend their services.
