We found the kitchen renovation process pretty overwhelming, but as soon as we walked into Ray's store, we knew we were in good hands. He immediately understood that we wanted, in his words, a Toyota kitchen, not a Cadillac, and he guided us through the process with cost in mind, and also helped us with style and function choices. His team did an excellent job with cabinet, counter, and tile Installation. Ray did not object to some modifications to the form contract. Kitchen looks great, and we highly recommend him.

We called Floor & Kitchen of Sterling, VA, based on the company's reviews in Washington Consumers' Checkbook, about renovating the kitchen and breakfast room in our c. 1990 Maryland condominium unit. We are very glad we did. As others have commented, the principal, Ray, was immediately responsive when we called. He was also generous with his time from the design phase through completion. He took care to listen to what we wanted and built those details into the design elements of the project. He was also available to discuss project elements throughout each phase, coming to the work site when needed. The project estimate was reasonable and, though there were a few extra charges, the project stayed close to the original budget. It helped that the company has a showroom. The selection of cabinetry on display is somewhat limited (certainly as compared to the big-box stores). But the materials are adequate and good quality. They include Wolf wood cabinetry, as well as flooring, countertop material and wall tiles. We purchased the wall cabinet glass shelves and door fronts, knobs and pulls, as well as the appliances and plumbing fixtures separately.) Ray has put together a highly-skilled team of workers, Alex, Eduardo and others. Their work was excellent and all were respectful of our time and space. All arrived on-time when scheduled and worked diligently and as quietly as possible (a big concern in a condominium). They also cleaned up after each day’s work to keep the dust to manageable levels and wrapped up by the condominium's deadline of 4:30 PM. Above all, the project was started on schedule, and, despite the Thanksgiving and end-of-year holidays, the work was completed on schedule without cutting corners. In sum, we are exceptionally pleased with the experience and the final product and have no reservations recommending this company.

Ray and his team did a great remodel for sale of the kitchen in our Arlington home. He also replaced a bathroom floor. He was consistently upbeat and responsive through multiple delays on our end. The workmanship was excellent. The investment was the lowest across three estimates I requested. Would absolutely work with him again. Highly recommended!
