I recently had Adirondack install a chain-link fence in my backyard, as well as wooden gates at the front. The estimator/team manager who came out to my house was friendly and professional. We discussed various options, and he then sent estimates for the work. The team arrived at 7 sharp and spent the day installing the fence and gates. They cleaned up perfectly and left the yard pristine. Now here's the difference with a superior company. The day after the installation, even though I had signed off on the work, I was increasingly uncomfortable with the way they had attached the fencing the the poles. I looked at other houses with the same type of fence, and then went to Adirondack's website. I began to feel they could have done a better job. I sent an email to the estimator/manager with photos and explained the issues I had with the installation. Within 15 minutes, he sent back an email, agreeing with the issues and told me the team would come back, take it down, and do it over again and make it right. And that's exactly what they did within a week. They redid it, did a great job and I'm fully satisfied. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We found Adirondack to be professional, of high personal integrity, and responsive from initial contact. We wanted a 7 ft fence barrier to deter deer that had become more numerous and aggressive over the last four years, devastating our gardens. Linda gave us a ballpark estimate based on our own approximate measurements and speculations on choice of materials. When we gave a clear indication that her bid was competitive and that we wished to proceed toward a contract, she paid a measurement visit and made valuable suggestions, which we mulled over for several days. Then we finalized the contract. Despite a waiting list, Linda improved our position when there was a postponement on another contract. The installation team of Jose, Luis, and Efrem were polite, hardworking, and responsive to our input throughout the 2 and a half day project. We paid a 50% deposit on signing and paid off the balance upon completion. We are thoroughly satisfied with and highly recommend Adirondack. Their website is helpful. Working with Adirondack presented none of the dread or anxiety that have become the norm with house and home projects in northern Virginia.

I was eager to get a solid quote given the high ratings of other Checkbook users. But they refused to come out and bid on the project in person, so I found that disappointing and not terribly helpful. The back-of-the-envelope phone estimate was in the range of the two other companies who did come out in person, so I went with one of them instead, since their quotes were more reliable and timely.
