Shanco stands apart from other roofers with whom I dealt-- everyone involved in the project were genuinely interested in doing whatever was needed to deliver a quality roof that will last. My roof was a non-standard design constructed using Structual Insulated Panels (SIPs). I met with a number of roofing companies with high ratings and they declined the job because they lacked the expertise needed to repair areas with rotting wood. Morgon King, the sales rep, understood what was needed and continued to be involved throughout the project. Chad Williams and Bruce Lemon who were the project management team were tremendous. They made structural repairs and added features to make sure I would get a roof that lasted. Other roofers satisfied code requirements but did not provide adequate protection in areas where water was draining onto the roof resulting in rotting wood. They extended protective coverage and made recommendations for improvements that made sense. Communication throughout was great, complete with photos of problem areas and the finished roof. They had the knowledge and experience to make structural repairs that I doubt most other roofers could accomplish. Of course there were added charges and they were quite reasonable given the amount of effort that went into doing the job right. The final cost was about half of what another roofer had wanted. The followup was terrific. A wire in my track lights had loosened and Chad and Bruce came twice to fix that problem. They also came back again to fix a problem area on the roof attributable to the SIPs. This is a long detailed review because I was so pleased and relieved to fi d a quality roofer after searching in vainfor almost a year. Anyone can lay down shingles and the problems aren't immediately obvious. Shanco's personnel understand what is needed and that os why there material and labor warranties are superior.

Shanco did a first-class job replacing my 30 year old garage's roof. They started the job when promised, finished in a day and even came in a little under their estimate in the final bill. Everything from my end was done online, including estimate, approval, contracting and payment. Shanco's rep made helpful suggestions regarding additional venting and replacement of an adjoining shed roof and still came up with an estimate that was competitive with three others. Give them a shot at your job.
