We replaced our badly cracked concrete pad just outside our garage in 2018. After getting quotes from 3 or 4 contractors, we decided on KRT. They were not the least expensive or most expensive. We liked the comments / work plan provided by Karl (the owner) from KRT and felt job would be done right. They were prompt and helpful, job was completed on time and price was competitive. We had 2 issues though: 1) Our job was done in the Fall and our big oak trees were dropping their acorns so, as the finishing work was being done, we kept getting 3 or 4 acorns that would drop on the finished surface causing a noticeable depression that they would have to go back and repair. They did this several times but eventually decided to let concrete dry and come back several days later to fix the small areas of acorn drop. OBVIOUSLY, THE ACORNS WERE NOT KRT's FAULT, BUT THEIR PATCH WORK WAS JUST ADEQUATE. 2) More importantly, in less than 6 months, 4 or 5 long, hairline cracks have developed. They haven't gotten much worse, but we certainly are not satisfied with the quality of concrete provided by KRT. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT WE ARE NOT SURE IF KRT DIDN'T PROVIDE GOOD WORK OR IF THE CONCRETE SUPPLIER (WILLIE) PROVIDED SUBSTANDARD CONCRETE. OUR OPINION THOUGH IS THAT KRT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS USING THE RIGHT CONCRETE MIX. WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND KRT FOR DRIVEWAY CONCRETE WORK.
