I have a relative who ended up at the Clayton Residential Home following a mental breakdown resulting from the death of her mother. When I came to visit her a nurse at Clayton House told us “Only your mother and father can visit in your room.” When I told her that both of my relatives’ parents were deceased, she just walked away and didn’t even apologize. This place provided no therapy, no vocational rehab, and no help for patients wanting to get a job and their own apartment.
