They checked my roof and cleaned the moss off. So tidy I could not tell anyone was here, except it looked great. Best crew.

18 years ago we had a Monier Lifetile Cedarlite roof installed on our 2 story house by Century Roof Tile, Hayward. The installation was excellent and the roof looked very much like a cedar shake roof, as it was meant to. But it was a big mistake because the tiles are extremely fragile when walked on incorrectly; over 100 tiles were broken when the house was painted by a painter recommended by Century who kindly replaced the broken tiles. We also have a pool solar heater which required frequent repair, resulting in more broken tiles. Diablo Solar, the pool heater installer, agreed to install a new solar system and to replace, free of charge, the tiles that they had broken. But there were still at least 70 broken tiles that needed replacing. Most of the roofers we contacted refused to make a bid because of the tile fragility. We eventually found 3 roofers who made bids (one without even going up on the roof!). We chose California Custom Contractors (CCC) because the owner, Greg Meo did a thorough inspection which he documented with photographs. His proposal, again carefully documented with photographs of the proposed repairs, was not the cheapest of the 3 but its thoroughness and Greg’s obvious experience with Cedarlite tile roofs (again, more photos of past jobs) made the choice clear. We learned that CCC does not install new roofs but only does repairs. CCC cleaned moss and other debris from the roof, replaced and painted all pipe flashings, replaced all broken tiles and installed metal flashing to replace the original cracked lead flashing. All of the work done was documented with photographs. Our roof now looks fantastic and we are confident that there will be no leaks. Greg and his team of 3 very experienced workers were a pleasure to work with and get my highest recommendation

Completed roof and tile repairs required (and replace rusted gutter.) Provided daily updates via email on progress. Very pleased with quality of work. Will continue to use Greg's company for future roofing needs.
