My family has been going to Dr. Witt for 15+ years. He and office are always nice. Never a long wait. He will explain your ailment and his fix in careful detail, and with a good sense of humor.

I use Dr. Witt and his hygienist for semi-annual preventative and regular maintenance treatments. Dr. Witt also checks for gum disease and oral cancer. The hygienist cleans and flosses my teeth, gives me a choice of toothpaste, and instructs me on proper brushing and flossing. Once a year the hygienist also does X-ray bite-wings. On June 11, 2018, which also happened to be my birthday, I bit into a corn cob and the crown on tooth #9 was dislodged. The next day, Dr. Witt fit me into his schedule and reattached the crown. In early July, I had to return from an out-of-state trip one day early because of intense pain and swelling in the vicinity of tooth #9. Dr. Witt's staff arranged a referral to an endodontist, Dr. Tu Phan of Olney Endodontics. Dr. Phan found that someone (later determined to be Dr. Nina Mihaychuk of Aspen Hill General and Costmetic Dentistry) had tried to do a root canal on that tooth but left the debris and put on a permanent filling. Dr. Phan treated the infection and carried out a root canal. A few days later Dr. Witt replaced the temporary filling on tooth #9 with a permanent filling. Since that time, I have had no problems with pain or infection in tooth #9.
