Basset is family run and the owner showed up for the estimate instead of the usual commision salesman. He gave me a lowest cost possible, a good system, and current state of the art quote. They were a couple of hundred dollars more than other companies, but they use American Standard and Trane equipment that got great ratings in Consumer Reports. The two man installation team showed up exactly on time and completed the work when promised. I could tell these guys were expert and they handled the usual suprises of this kind of job with ease and no extra fees. They were pleasant, no drama and left everything very clean. In short I could not have asked for more, Total cost with tax was $14,050 (without electrics) for the American Standard Gold 16, Trane coils, and a nice Honeywell thermostat.

We've been using Bassett for over twenty years at this point and have recommended to many family and friends who also now use them. Consistently lowest bids, really solid recommendations that are not for the most expensive option. They've gotten busier now so sometimes takes a bit to get them scheduled.
