i brought in my 325 for a routine oil change and in which all door locks worked perfectly. Several hrs. later i was given my car back with all door locks inoperative. I was told to "just drive it awhile" and the key fob will activate the locks properly. I was sent home in a vehicle that was unsafe had an accident occurred as all locks were inop from the outside and inside. Only w/ help was I able to get out of the car. Upon checking my receipts from the same service a yr. earlier I discovered the same malfunction. I then returned the car and was charged $192. for a fuse replacement. This is too coincidental ....what are they doing to vehicles that is causing door lock issues ? Does it involve the car wash, the oil change , key storage, or is it simply a scheme to require more fees to correct the problem? Of note here....I have used this company for many years and spent many thousands to keep my vehicles in top condition. I was extremely disappointed that 1) they lied to me and jeopardized my safety. No one should be sent home in a vehicle from which they cannot escape. 2) there was no apology or follow up call to check if, indeed, the key fob was the cause of the lock failure. 3) they didn't care enough about me or my car's history to review the last service detail in which I brought in a car that worked perfectly and was returned a car in which none of the locks worked...same car, same service, and same malfunction ! I took the car to a "service professional" who replaced fuses and reprogrammed the module. He said that the problem had nothing to do with the key fob and I had been given "misinformation". This service failure WILL be reported to BMW National as well as State oversight offices. Please respond if you have had a similar situation w/ this firm
