Mine was a short term rehabilitation stay. Wanted to keep me as long as possible to get more money from medicare. I had to become assertive about leaving. The patient is treated like a commodity, not as a real person, e.g. I was woke up at 1:30 a.m. for a TB skin test; staff person annoyed that I complained about the timing. The quality of the food was adequate but the quantity was not.
