After being told by many other plumbers that I would have to repipe my entire house, Peter from Prima came out and had the lines to my shower and bathroom sinks cleaned out and running great! No repipe needed!!!

Similar to other comments. We had a Takagi tankless water heater that we have enjoyed for many years that was starting to malfunction. Takagi recommended Prima as the only authorized Takagi dealer in the area. We had 2 water heaters linked together and wanted the same type of setup. because we used the same brand the connections mostly matched up with some minor adjustments. The water heaters themselves cost about $1200 each based on my research. Their charges for everything were $6400. I thought it might be an extensive job based on that. However, they were in and out in less than 4 hours. So on an hourly basis, that's $1000/hour. Pretty sure I overpaid.

Firm's Response:
“Thank you for working with us in purchasing two new tankless water heaters!
This work was for removing the two older (13 years old) TM1 tankless heaters, and installing two new modern* TH3 tankless heaters.

For the swap out of your existing water heaters, the venting and gas piping had to be brought up to code** and manufacturer*** specifications.
This alteration was mentioned in the proposal prior to work being performed.

Typically, the combined total hours needed on site would be ~7.5 hours.
This is needed for:
*re-doing the water piping, temperature and rep plus the removal and installation of two new water heaters
*re-doing the gas piping (correct size)
**re-doing the venting (material-type change from original steel to modern PVC)

Alternatively, we can send two plumbers to site to perform the work for 3.5 hours (for the same cost).
Having two plumbers to site allows for them working different tasks: venting vs gas piping vs water piping vs water heater install.

For your call we sent two plumbers to site. We are not at the hourly rate that you mentioned.
As each job has different rates based on location, scope, timing; please call into our office and we would be happy to review the rates based on your plumbing situation.”
