We contacted Greenwood for a routine furnace tune up & inspection. Aaron, our technician, was on time, took care to protect our rug, and was thoroughly professional. Unfortunately, we had a gas leak so he shut the furnace down. With fall weather happening and company coming, we did not do the "three bids" shopping I might have preferred to do so I can't really speak to the pricing of the new furnace (relative to competitors). However, the sales consultant was knowledgable and I had done enough online research to feel confident that I was asking the right questions. We were presented with options; and moved forward to replace our furnace quickly. There were no major surprises; we were well warned that there would be a pipe intruding in the adjacent bedroom (at this point, Greenwood does not offer drywall repair/minor carpentry ... so I have another task to follow up on - maybe a soffit to hide the short run of pipe that carries the condensation out). We are still waiting on the electrical inspection (two permits, one mechanical, one electrical). One short week later, we have a brand spanking new permit with minimal disruption to our lives. All crew teams were professional; communication was superb. I got the feeling that Greenwood treats, and trains, its employees well. The furnace we bought is manufactured by DAIKEN, but branded as Greenwood - I expect we will be in a long term relationship with Greenwood moving forward. Perhaps not the cheapest outfit in town but I expect they will not be bought out by Wall Street (Wall Street Journal recently reported on the consolidation happening in the heating and plumbing industries). And that is a consideration that matters to me ... am I supporting a local business or Wall Street?

They worked on the job until they got it right. I got the "C" team full of new learning staff. They sent the "A" team to fix all the craftmanship and airflow issues.
