If you are looking for a quality instrument, I cannot recommend this store highly enough. My brother had found a used silver Benge trumpet for me in a garage sale. It seemed to be a quality horn, but I did not like the way it blew or sounded. I had taken it to Hugo Helmer Music, Inc. just west of I-5 in Burlington for immersion in a chemical bath. The tech said she could not believe what came out of it and even had to cut off part of the tuning slide which had rotted from no cleaning. I found a quality case for it on Ebay but never really played it. I decided to get a new horn and trade the one in my brother had given me. Amanda at The Mighty Quinn Brass and Winds played 5 different horns for me while I listened. The one that sounded best to me was a Jupiter XO 1602RS-R Professional Series Bb Trumpet at a price of $2000 (Amanda explained they had picked it up as a demo at a trade show and thus the reduced price. Retail is $3,200 on this horn.) The owner offered me $800 for the Benge and I paid the $1200 plus tax using an Amex Card. One Happy Camper. You will be too!
