Charles was easy to reach by phone and easy to talk with when I called to explain my projects. He discussed each with interest and in detail, including the estimated charge for each item, and asked for photos in advance so he could assess what he needed to bring for the repairs. He arrived when he said he would and worked steadily for over 5 hours. He changed out a regular toilet seat and bidet for a handicapped toilet seat and accompanying bidet, ensuring everything was spotless before making the switches. He explained how the new bidet works. He also rehung a wall of floor-to-ceiling drapes, as one of the brackets had become loose; patched a hole in our garage wall; helped me clean four layers of glass in the oven door, which I could not dismantle or clean on my own; pulled out our refrigerator and cleaned the area and coils behind it; and removed and replace a cabinet door in the kitchen after drilling a hole in one of its metal brackets that wouldn't stay put, adding another screw to ensure that the bracket and door wouldn't fall out again. One would think that a handyman going here and there in the house for hours would be disruptive or distracting, but the hours turned out to be not only educational but also extremely pleasant. Charles is a kind man, experienced, thorough, and meticulous and really enjoys and takes pride in his work.
