This is a discount store, and there are some great bargains, but you can never count on having any particular item. They don't pretend otherwise. It's great for what it is. Not all prices are bargains though, you just have to do the comparisons yourself or settle for a mix of mostly low and some high prices.

For me, shopping at Grocery Outlet is a better experience. There are no digital coupons to search though, no going in on only a certain day, and no false sales with inflated regular prices. It is just fair pricing every day and you go in whenever you want, which for me saves a lot of time and fuss. Therefore, I forgive what few departments may not be 'perfect' as some people expect and if they don't have something, I just get it elsewhere later. Also, in spite of their reputation, all products are not dollar store style stuff. The other day I saw Gorilla tape brand packing tape there-the quality stuff-for almost 'half' of what I paid the week before at the hardware store. They also have many organic items. Also at checkout, they have kept human cashiers. To me, Grocery Outlet is a business model I wish the other stores would follow. Good prices everyday that saves the consumer time, energy and money.

Since this is an outlet store, you do need to inspect your produce closely and check pull dates. As for keeping things in stock, the basics are there but they get some unusual foods that are one time items. Good prices and interesting to shop
