I went there because I was dizzy with a severe headache. This has been an ongoing issue nobody can figure out, but I had a massive brain hemorrhage years ago from a birth defect I never knew about. These symptoms are some of the same problems I had my whole life before the brain surgery, they were gone for years, now they're back and I'm scared. So, first the staff was treating me like I was trying to score dope, but I knew they would, every ER does. You can't tell a doctor something hurts without them thinking that these days. Then I was surprised they weren't putting in an IV. Usually the first thing anybody does when I check into an ER for this is start an IV, and then they usually do a pointless EKG and CT that are always clear. They gave me a shot of ibuprofen and one of Benadryl, and an anti nausea med because I was throwing up. They left me in the room for like 2 hours, at that point my head was still splitting open and I was nearly asleep from the Benadryl. I got told I'm not allowed to sleep in there and that I'm being discharged. I fell back asleep and the lady came in all huffy about how she was gonna call security if I didn't leave. So the doctor gives me my discharge papers, says he's prescribing ibuprofen and referring me to a specialist headache clinic. I told him would need something locally because I live in the middle of nowhere and I don't drive, and he assured me it was local. That made my day thinking maybe I could get some answers and possibly a solution. Til I actually looked at the paperwork. Local? Try Seattle... That's not somewhere I can get to easily at all. And ibuprofen does nothing for a headache, Tylenol or aspirin sure, but... My messed up back loves ibuprofen at least lol I'm gonna try to avoid going to that hospital again if I can.

They are the best in both Skagit and Whatcom County. Cleaner, better bedside manner, respectful, not chaotic overcrowded, timely intake. The timely car makes driving extra save time in the long run.
