Not Recommended
I do not recommend Aegis for many reasons but here's a few. The buy in is expensive at $19K. and is non returnable. Contrast that to $1K. at the new place. I think my loved one was treated like a dementia patient and he's not. He was a regular assisted living resident. Non medical staff was very friendly and respectful and knew him by name. There is no privacy here by Medical staff as they come in and out all day long.' Aegis did not allow him to have any over the counter meds like Tylenol etc..so when he was out his drawers were searched. They also took condiments away. Rent continued to climb to $11K. a month so we moved him to another place. He now has privacy, help with meds and laundry as before and is paying $5,000 a month. No one is going through his things and he can have over the counter meds. Higher prices do not always mean you get better service. I would not recommend Aegis..
