The people here are nice, once they finally talk to you and it's more than the secretary that's doing the talking. Sitting in a waiting room for an emergency and waiting for 5 plus hours sure doesn't seem like an emergency to them.

I brought my female bull terrier named coco into the gig harbor veterinarian hospital be ause of an emergency. My fiancé and I thought that she had swallowed her fetch ball while playing in the backyard. We brought her in around 7:00 pm after finally getting a hold of them by phone. We had been calling around different places getting referrals for hours before they answered our call. When we first got there they took her in and we explained our situation and that she had swallowed a ball and we were worried. They told us we were right to be worried because the vall that was swallowed could cause a blockage and she could die. They said they could treat her but first needed to do xrays to see where it was at then they would induce vomiting to get the ball out. It sounded simple enough but they then told us we would need to pay over 900 dollars in order for them to proceed. We dont have that kind of money and they would not treat her unless we paid. We were devastated and they offered no help or anything and then they tried to say we couldnt have our dog back until we paid 144 dollars for the visit fee. I told the lady that wasnt going to happen and id come in and take my dog anyway. She gave coco back finaly and we left. They were going to let our dog die. They are terri le people.
