I had flooding in a finished basement and had to to tear out the carpeting and laminate flooring. I decided to go with ceramic tile. He helped me with selection of tile, grout and grout sealant. He also helped me address preparation to make things durable in the unlikely event that I had another flood. The flooring involved two big rooms, a central area and a small wine cellar. Al did the work with old world level craftsmanship, neatly addressing challenges arising from rooms that weren't exactly square. I consider myself a detail oriented person and am completely happy with his work and will call him again when I have another project.

I previously employed Al Butler, the owner of AJ Tile & Stone to do a complete renovation of the tub and shower area of my bathroom. He performed stellar work and when it came time to finish up the flooring, I immediately turned to him. Once again, he completed the job to perfection. He recommended material options, repaired the sub-floor and installed the ceramic tiles beautifully. If his schedule is packed, which it often is, it is truly worth the wait to get this quality of workmanship.
