We had the carpets pulled up in five rooms and a hallway and replaced with engineered wood flooring. We are happy with the result and the process, From initial sales to clean up, everything went smoothly. The installers were a couple of skilled, hard-working Russian immigrants. The lead, Roman, had more than a decade of experience. The job involved trimming doors and other complicated processes. They handled it quickly and easily. The job took only two days. At noon on the second day I thought there was no way they could finish that afternoon, but they did. Roman explained what they were doing as they went along and provided valuable tip about maintaining the floors. We contracted this job through Costco. My understanding is that the contractors don't get paid by Costco until the client approves of the completed project. Because contractors depend on Costco for much of their business, they are eager to please their Costco clients. It is comforting to have a powerful partner on your side.
