I've used Samy Lawn Services LLC since April 2019, after a badly broken ankle kept me off work for five months. His fee for my modest yard was $25/week, every week, whether it needed mowing or not. I still pay that same fee in 2024. I have also hired Samy for "extra projects" that are beyond my strength or ability, such as removing enormous shrubs and planting more appropriately sized ones, and laying pavers on crushed rock at the front stoop and under the deck, vastly improving these areas. On the paving projects, the workers were well aware of slope to ensure water drained away from the house. The one negative is almost without fail, the "weed whacker" crew cut to low to the ground, so the grass is only about one inch high. I am then stuck with the job of watering that weed-whacked grass to try to keep it from dying. It may be that all lawn mowing crews do this, I don't know. I also have learned to keep my flower beds behind a low wire fence to keep the flowers from being weed whacked. As long as I do this, the flowerbed remains intact. With the exception of one time, his crew use "string" weed whackers. One time I spotted a metal edger and based on a previous bad experience with "BLADE RUNNERS" (where the employee removed a chunk of my sidewalk with a metal edger) I contacted Samy and requested that no metal edgers be used on my property.
