Purchased my Buick in 2017 and believe I got a relatively good deal. HOWEVER, the service department CANNOT/SHOULD NOT be trusted. I foolishly purchased and extended maintenance contract and have regarded it. I have twice been told that I needed a wheel alignment during a contract oil changes. I took it to my regular mechanic and he said that the car’s alignment was perfect and he showed me the printed test results. Another time following an oil change my air conditioning was not working. Took the car to my mechanic and was told the refrigerant had leaked out due to a loose valve. I have never had a “loose air conditioning valve in more than 50 years of owning cars. On another oil change I was told that I needed the car’s brake fluid replaced and the radiator flushed. My mechanic advised me that yes, the brake fluid is overdue for replacing, but the radiator flush was nonsense. On my last contract oil change a day after the service, I had a tire monitoring system failure warning. My mechanic said that was very unusual to happen and all he did was reprogram the system. Coincidence….maybe, but based on my entire service department experience, not likely.

If you know what you are doing, and come with plenty of research already done, you have a chance to get a good deal on a car purchase. I was able to get an excellent deal on one or more occasions, but it was only because I spent months preparing. I was able to refute, and potentially walk away from the sale. This takes a substantial amount of prepared time though, as I have experienced many of the different strategies they use to increase their profits when you buy or sell your car to them. Great selection of cars.

I've bought 2 new SUVs at Koons but even that did not make the repair and service anything more than dismal. At least 30% of time they return the car unrepaired or partly repair and state that it is repaired. They have returned the car damaged and denied responsibility. They have tried to charge significantly ABOVE MSRP for parts - I took the car elsewhere. They lie. Bill Appel, the service manager has been there too long.
