I researched many roofers and thought this company would do a good job. However, what the representative told me and what the office said were at times in conflict. Now I find out I have to pay them to inspect the roof and the gutter system they put in. I would not have selected them if I realized how much they charge to look at a problem. There are many roofing companies out there. Ask about the follow up once the work is done.

We were quite pleased with the performance of R.M. Banning. In addition to roof replacement, services provided to us also included trim, new gutters & downspouts, and chimney crown repair. Our interactions with Daniel, R.M. Banning project manager, were excellent. He listened to our concerns prior to and throughout the entire project. The office staff were amazing; Angela and Maria were prompt and pleasant with timely emails and phone call updates. A special "shout out" to the hard-working team that did the trim work. We recommend R.M. Banning.

I put RECOMMENDED for R.M. Banning for new roofs though I would not choose them if I had to do it again. I wish I had went Atlas Roofing whose owner is part of every roofing job. R.M. Banning beat Atlas's price by a hundred or so dollars after I gave them their price. The good: R.M. Banning has high quality roofing products installed at a reasonable price. They told me they employ contractors but those roofing contractors have worked with them for years or decades. The front office (Angela) would respond quickly to my concerns/questions and I received the CertainTeed warranty certificate not long after the work was completed. The bad: After installing the new roof, water was leaking over my fairly new gutters. I was convinced to get new gutters since they would upgrade the venting system (soffits/fascia) using aluminum material. The gutter crew appeared to be contracted out to another company (they wore t-shirts with their company name on it). This crew did a very sloppy job and just disappeared for the day after they had only been there for a short amount time. Water was still dripping when it rained until they came out again and caulked properly.
