Charlie was very clear about prices and set proper expectations when we spoke on the phone, and he arrived exactly when he said he would. He was honest and quickly determined that our chimney did not need to be cleaned and likely did not require a full inspection as we had a gas log system. When I mentioned that we were looking to either replace our gas logs with a newer system or remove them and convert it back to wood-burning, he gave me a very thorough breakdown of pros and cons to each option, told me what next steps would look like in either case, and offered to come back and help if needed with whichever option we chose. In addition to being so knowledgeable and willing to help, he was also a great person in general and someone that I was happy to work with. We'll definitely call him back if we need additional work!

Our roofer recommended another guy. He seemed capable and inspired confidence. However his price was more than I anticipated. Charlie came up with a slightly less drastic fix for our chimneys for only 40% of the cost. Call him first!
