The bases of the pillars at our front door entry had rotted badly and needed to be replaced. We had planned on having the work done just before lockdown occurred but had to put it off. They really became an eyesore. As always, we referred to Washington Checkbook for a carpenter/contractor. Noel did a masterful job building the bases and then sanded and scraped the columns at the front entrance of our house. It looks spectacular. He is meticulous when it comes to detail. Our house is a 1948 brick colonial which one sees all over the DMV. The front landing had pulled away from the house and Noel took time in deciding whether to build bases flush with the slate landing or creating a base flush with columns and house. He chose the latter and worked steadily and methodically achieving stellar results. He even took much care filling in/patching the gap with the right shade of gray concrete patch to match the slate landing/steps. He is thoughtful about everything. Afterward, he painted everything to perfection. He is really an artist at this. First and foremost, besides being extremely talented, he is kind and an incredibly decent human being. His pricing is very fair. We will use him for all other home projects that would require a general contractor. He has our highest recommendation— 100 stars!
