Eight years ago we needed to replace our HVAC system. We invited five companies to give us an estimate. Robert from Cascades visited our house. His price was not the least expensive nor the highest. We chatted about how he runs the business. He told me that he picked the AC manufacturer because of the quality and reliability of their product. He told of being asked to be on the advisory board for the manufacturer to help them ensure their product was the best. He told me of occasionally fighting with the manufacturer because their product was not what he expected. When he did this, the manufacturer realized that he was correct and fixed their product. Since the installation, the few times I have needed repairs, all have been handled expertly from the scheduling to the communications to the repairs. They do everything right. Writing this I recall Robert telling me that taking care of the customer was his focus. He thought he was succeeding because he was invited to customer weddings and sometimes funerals. What businesses have this kind of relationship with their customers? Cascades is the only one I know.
