NFCU is terrific- but their mortgage processing needs improvement. They are too slow, don’t move at the same speed as other providers. Moreover the risk adverse mature of their underwriting department results in some overly onerous processes. I love NFCU but regretted doing a refi with them recently

NFCU provides excellent service to its members and won't sell a mortgage to another institution so I always know with whom I'll be dealing in the future.
