I live in the McLean and got a quote from 1st Choice Garage Doors because Clopay listed them as a Master Installer for the DC area. I'm glad I did. I knew the style of door that I wanted and got quotes from several installers for both Amarr and Clopay brand doors. 1st Choice stood out for being easy to deal with, very thorough in their proposal, and aggressive on price. In fact, they quoted the lowest price for the door we ultimately chose, and Eastern Doors (who we'd used previously) refused to match the price. I truly appreciated that they offered a remote estimate pending inspection. In other words, without scheduling a visit, they quoted me a price to install the door that I knew I wanted, and gave me multiple options, and only visited my house once I was ready to move forward, to verify the details I had provided and finalize the order. Once the door arrived in stock, the install process was quick, easy, and professional. They missed a few bits of debris when they cleaned up after themselves, but that's OK. The door is nicely balanced and lubricated, and the installation was very professional. They do charge a hefty price for a service call -- about $40 more than Eastern.
