We contracted with Woodburners and paid a $1,000 upfront retainer. They said they would pull the permits for the job. We found out they tried to pull the permits in our name, that they didn't have insurance as they claimed and that they weren't certified. We asked for our deposit back, they wouldn't return it. We went to small claims court and the judge ruled in our favor and ordered Woodburners to return our deposit. The owner refuse and still, after 4 years, hasn't returned our deposit. My advice is to stay away from this organization.
