I have used McCarthy for over 15yrs with two replacement Heat Pump systems. I have found their response and work reliable but expensive. Their repairmen must get a commission on upselling so the homeowner must be vigilant in understanding what is really necessary.

We used McCarthy to replace our a/c and our furnace. They have a very quick turn around time. They replaced both items in the same day. If they offer to give you a quote (a) plan on that visit taking 60-90 minutes and (b) if you have the time, try to get a 2nd quote before committing. They will try very hard to get you to commit on the spot without getting a 2nd quote.

Even though I gave this company a horrible rating on Yelp several years ago, they continue to call me and send me emails almost weekly. I'm sick of their phone calls. So, if you ever need to receive weekly phone calls and emails, you can contact them only once; they will fulfill this need. I am sick of them. I called them and told them to leave me alone, explained that I had given them a bad review and would never use them again, but they persisted in their weekly calls. It's disgusting.
