Dr. Plescia is nice enough. Communication from the office is lacking. Sure, it is Covid. The lab in the office is closed. If someone is coming for a full physical and lab work, it would be a wonderful courtesy to 1) alert the patient that lab is closed, 2) ask the patient where they would like their lab work done prior to arrival, 3) send the lab work order to the desired lab 24hours before the appt so it makes it through the lab's 24hr batch job run so that the order is the lab's system should you decide to go to the lab after the exam. I was not notified the lab was closed. I fasted, and I was casually informed that the lab was closed and that I could go to the lab right from the doctor's office. First, I did not plan for that time-wise, and also, I was fasting so I was in a classic "eat a snickers bar" mood by then. I'm looking to change my GP after this experience.
