Matt came to our house and did a detailed analysis of the water flow on our property, testing and testing some more until he determined the most likely reason that water was finding its way into our garage. This was what differentiated CDS from other drainage companies we talked to. We were impressed by Matt's expertise and commitment to doing excellent work. Matt himself handles the initial inquiries from prospective customers and he is out working on job sites during the day. Be patient and politely try again if you don't hear back after a day or two.

I echo many of the other reviews for Custom Drainage Systems. A little over a year ago, Custom Drainage Systems completed their project for me. I have held off for a year to evaluate how things are working. The conclusion is that Custom Drainage Systems solved 99% of my basement flooding problems. Matt’s approach to do all the work on the outside of my house through adding special clay soil around the perimeter of my home, compacting and regrading the soil around my home, and adding additional drains to move water away from my home, that comes from neighboring properties has made all the difference. I use to have terrible anxiety every time there was a heave rain, and I would have several inches of water on my basement floor several times a year. From the moment that Custom Drainage was on-site, and Matt started doing water tests to evaluate where water would go in a rainstorm, I could see that he really understood drainage issues. His approach seemed so much more logical than trying to mitigate water issues once water is in the home. During his time on-site, he found many contributors to my flooding problems. These included an old well, collapsed old drainage piping, old tree root and animal passageways, and gutter covers that allowed heavy rain to spill over them. Not only did Custom Drainage Systems solve most of my water problems, they also re-mulched my beds, and re-seeded my grass where they had installed drains and regarded. The only problem that still exists, is that I get some water the comes through old termite treatment holes in my slab during the heaviest of rains (more than 2 inches). This is something that I have to plug. I highly recommend Custom Drainage Systems. Matt and his assistant, Sebastian were very conscientious and friendly, and extremely hard workers, and I am very happy with their results.

Matthew Miller (owner) is first-rate. After getting other proposals of how to fix my basement leak, I went with Matthew's approach. He is obsessively conscientious! Did a cost-effective job. (Consistent, by the way, of the approach favored by a building inspector whom I asked for advice among the three different approaches from three specialty companies I had sought out.) When a very small leak appeared later, Matthew returned and fixed it, as I expected. He knows his trade. Honest and skilled.
