Over the past 10 years, every heavy rainfall created a mini Niagara Falls of runoff barreling downhill and across my lawn, in the process eroding the soil and wiping out any attempt to plant new grass on the lawn directly in front of my house. Thanks to Kinetic Resources and its owner-operator Brett Horner, this problem has finally been resolved. Although working primarily in Stafford and Spotsylvania County, Brett made the 60-mile drive to northern Fairfax County to assess my problem and devise a simple but effective solution. A week later he and his hard-working crew of three arrived and within just a few hours had constructed a rock swale across the front of the house, installed new sod next to it, put down topsoil and grass seed in other damaged areas, and artfully incorporated existing stones into the project. Working together with his crew, Brett was hands-on in all of this. Damage to existing landscaping was non-existent, and the clean-up left the yard in pristine condition. The first heavy rainfall of the season confirmed that the swale is working exactly as intended and capturing all the runoff. Finally, I note that Brett’s price for this work, when adjusted for inflation, is less than a quote I received three years ago for a more modest design proposal. Based on my A+ experience, I highly recommend Brett and Kinetic Resources for any landscaping work of this kind.
