This contractor is at the high end in terms of costs and I don’t feel the quality of work is in line with their prices. Their estimators prepare very detailed proposals but the foreperson that comes out is only provided with the written proposal which requires the foreperson to do a walkthrough before the job is started. In my case we had a disagreement during the walkthrough on what was included, and he wanted to process a change order until I finally found the work in the estimate (again it is very detailed, multiple pages). I respect the fact that if you ask them to do something extra you should be charged for this via a change order, but they seem to be overzealous when it comes to this process. In my case it seemed intuitively obvious the item in question would have been included in the original estimate. This can cause an adversarial relationship before the work even starts. For my job they replaced rotting wood and did some exterior painting (attached porch). They did an excellent job with painting but were unsatisfactory with the finishing work that included caulking and in some areas did not clean up after themselves. They also damaged a couple of things and to their credit they did come back to try and address them, but it still wasn’t right and I ended up taking care of it myself (did not want to deal with them again). For this reason I will not hire them again or recommend them.

This group did a super fantastic job painting multiple rooms inside, fixing cracks in ceilings and walls perfectly and then painting those areas, and painting the outside wood trim and porches of my brick house. I was astounded by how carefully they worked. Not a speck of paint or dirt anywhere after they left, and the proposal was so incredibly detailed (ended up being super accurate) so I was assured of exactly what work would be done.) I can't rate them more highly!
