I was very pleased by the brick work done by Marvin and his partner. Front of my townhouse had gaps in some of the mortar and the brick in places was discolored by mold. In addition to replacing the mortar in several places, and power washing the brick where needed, they also fixed a wood section of a bay window that had been damaged by water penetration through the brick and/or flashing. Marvin also explained that the repairs I had done years ago were not done correctly. The brick mortar was cauked which was likely not effective.

American Masonry just finished a second project for me and did a masterful job. They worked on my chimney in 2021 and I was thrilled with their work. The most recent project was difficult and they did another superb job. They rebuilt my portico foundation/base and pathway. Larry gave excellent suggestions/advice and answered multiple questions. Marvin is an exquisite mason and takes on each project as if it is his own house. He explained each stage of the demo/rebuild and answered many questions. He also gave great advice based on his years of experience. The work site was immaculate when they left. I am so pleased with the result and wouldn't use anyone else for masonry work.

I asked them to come over and provide a quote to repair or replace the concrete crown of my chimney which was cracked. They scheduled to come over and provide an estimate in a very timely manner. Upon getting up on the roof and taking a closer look, we noticed there was much more damage beyond the crown. After I accepted the proposal, they were able to schedule the job quickly. Total scope included replacing the crown, replacing a number of broken bricks, repointing the mortar above the roofline, and caulking around the flashing. They did a good job, and I'm glad I hired them.
