We requested a ladder stairway(2 side rails with cross members) and a step to improve the safety in our backyard walkway to remove trip hazards. We provided a document with images and descriptions of both these improvements. Their estimate was fair with good detail of costs and materials. The result was nothing like what we requested and created new trip hazards. The start date was moved which was not a problem. On the start day, they did not have the document I provided, so I provided another and reviewed it to confirm what was needed. They assured me that they understood what was needed. The slope of our yard is irregular, so a stairway made with 6x6 timbers would not meet our needs nor fit the profile of the slope. It looks nice, but now we have a new problems to resolve.
