American Windows and Siding of VA was an excellent choice for my window replacements this past October 2024 (in a condo, going from likely 80s vintage single pane to double pane vinyl) and it could be for you too. Things I appreciated most included: Professionalism in Sales (Ed Dunn, one of the owners, sold me my windows and was very matter of fact, what you see is what you get. He didn’t upsell me or push artificial discounts and when I asked about primo vs basic options, he gave an honest opinion about pros and cons.) Price (American gave me the best quote out of three including Windows on Washington and Hodges, coming in about 20 percent under WoW which was the high bid. The sale was straight forward. They require a small deposit up front - less than 10 percent - with the full amount due when the job is done. They don’t finance. Their view was “we do the job and you pay us” which seemed reasonable to me.) Installation (the lead time on windows seemed pretty standard and took about two months from order to install. Install was thorough and efficient and took a half day - they had originally quoted a full day - with everything very tidy after the fact.) Product (I purchased Sunrise Windows especially for sound attenuation features and the install is beautiful and I am very happy with the results.)

We cannot more pleased with the products or service we've received from American Windows. They replaced nearly all windows in our home well below the cost we anticipated. One issue we were concerned about in picking a window replacement company was their willingness to do some necessary carpentry to replace some areas where we knew we had some wood rot. American Windows took the time necessary and replaced all the rotten wood where found. Jay, the salesperson we dealt with, was wonderful to work with and was great in explaining our options and what to expect with the install. The work crew was efficient, professional and respectful our of home.
