Also signed up with McGrath many years ago after a meeting with a very impressive and nice Mr Tommy Chambers. And as some of the other reviewers have said, things went downhill after that, with many botched service calls, failure to enforce lease stipulations with tenants, omissions in inspections, etc. To add insult to injury, the McGrath family decided to sell their business to Long & Foster in 2019, and that company was even worse (didn't return calls or emails for weeks after the takeover). Unfortunately, I let myself be sweet-talked by Mr Chambers again and took my business to his new firm, Chambers Theory, where the McGrath experience continued. The most galling has been Chambers' failure to stand up to tenants in the face of lease violations, and material misses in inspections, which have cost me thousands of dollars.

Really disappointing experience with this firm. Met with Tommy Chambers and was impressed with him and so signed on with McGrath. After that everything went down hill. For a company that manages so many properties, they have not embraced technology. What I mean by that is that there is no way for an owner to see work that is scheduled or what was done until the end of the month statement. The repairs department appears to operate by email - meaning that if someone complains in 4 successive months about an AC unit not working, McGrath repairs people will send out a repair person 4 times... they don't seem to connect the dots that something else is likely wrong. Leasing department also made a mistake in the way they structured a pre pay on may account which resulted in me taking an additional tax burden in a year and having no income in the following year. After many emails back and forth the owner finally acknowledged responsibility and reimbursed me half of the impact. I give him credit for that. When my second tenant moved out, the McGrath people sent an incorrect list of issues with the condition of the property to the tenant as charges against the deposit. This inflamed the tenant. The list of mistakes goes on and one. The people are nice but unfortunately the quality of the overall service was not acceptable and I would not use their services again.
