This ACE hardware store is miles better than the big hardware stores I have used. There is always someone available who can answer my questions and give advice about products and what to do to fix a problem. Plus, I can always find what I need, without wandering through every aisle.

This store specializes in Stihl power equipment, which has offered a 2 Year warranty. I bought my blower there in Oct 2014. It was running pretty rough after at the end of last season, so I brought it back for service and any warranty work that might be required. I was given to expect 2 weeks or less total turnaround, unless ordered parts were required, and was told I'd get a call with pricing when they took a look at it. I dropped it off on the 9th of Feb 2016, and paid my $25 deposit.

Now, on the 19th of Feb I was going to be taking my lawnmower to another facility for service, and I had not yet heard anything from Ace about my Stihl blower. So, I stopped by Ace on the way, and inquired on the status on my blower. They hadn't even looked at it! I almost took it with me, but I had no experience yet with the other facility, so when the Ace service person assured me someone would look at the blower and call me that same day, I decided to give them another chance. They did call me a few hours later, and reported that the service work was now completed, the blower runs great, and I could pick it up anytime. They had replaced the spark plug, replaced the spark arrestor, and performed other routine service for a total of less than $40. The work is good, the price was reasonable, and I don't question their honesty. However, 10 days without even looking at it has left a bad taste in my mouth. It's not like they were busy, they definitely were not. And they are not likely to get busy if they don't organize and focus themselves.
