Dr. Rao has recently converted to a concierge practice - great to have the extra attention but may be costly for many.

I really liked Dr. Rao on my first visit but the last time I was in to see her, I feel, she gaslighted me. Would not listen and stated I had a panic attack because I could not breath. I had a panic attack once in my life from a prescription drug. I know the difference. It was more like an asthma attack or a blocked airway or aspirated something or something in my throat that caused my windpipe to close. I could not get air in or out at all and was unable to speak at all for about one min and that caused me to panic and I was perfectly fine up to that moment. (One time after a doctor numbed my throat with a spray so he could put a tube down it.) I have been diagnosed with asthma and COPD. But she refused to listen to me and kept repeating it as a panic attack. I went with a different doctor after this meeting.

Dr. Rao is very popular, so she's hard to make an appointment with, even as an established patient. While she took the time to go over my medical history with me before my physical, and she came across as competent and understanding, I felt that the exam itself was rushed. When one of my blood tests came back just a little off, she immediately wanted me to get an expensive ultrasound instead of simply running the test again. After consulting via e-mail with a specialist I was already seeing, I simply had the lab test repeated a couple of months later, and everything was fine. Also, what I wasn't told until I got there was that the ECG that's performed during the physical is billed to insurance separately, and you'll need to pay for that even if the physical itself is free. So be aware that this doctor, while wanting to be thorough, may not ultimately be the most cost-effective.
