This is a place that is heavy on the sell, especially the maintenance agreement. In 2019 we bought a KitchenAid refrigerator with double doors, and four years later (Oct 23) the bottom hinge catch on one of the doors actually broke. Since we had a maintenance agreement a repair person from the maintenance company working for B&S, Epic Protect, came a week or so later to "fix" it. The fix couldn't be done and it was determined that a new door was needed, and was needed to be ordered. Expected delivery time was eight weeks, and in the meantime, .we were instructed not to use the door. When the replacement door arrived it was the wrong door. A second door then was ordered, with our being told it would take another eight weeks. The second eight week period lapsed, after which repeated follow on calls from me to Epic resulted in them telling me that the delivery date would be in Apr 24. Throughout this time, Bray and Scarf was generally unsympathetic and unwilling to lift a finger to advocate for our interests or even explain the details of the delay. (One person did say that she would see about advocating for a monetary compensation but that went nowhere with her higher ups.) At that. we decided to eat our loss and go to Best Buy to buy a different refrigerator. At the beginning of this ordeal, when I first went to the store in October to talk about our dilemma upon first learning that we would be without a door, the salesperson feigned empathy and stated that that was unacceptable. He even intimated that B&S may have to five us a new refrigerator, given the extraordinarily long delay and in doing so gave me false encouragement. Words are cheap. I would have been satisfied to have heard from the company periodically to let me know that they were doing all they could to rectify the delay, but that was never to be. In the end, I admit that from a legal case, they were covered from expense of a replacement or even a good will compensation. In so many words, they "won out." While that is the result, the additional result is that they have lost a life long customer. I try to put this in perspective and am humbled that compared to so many personal losses due to storms, fires, and floods, this was a minor inconvenience. Nonetheless, my intent is never to have to do business with B&S again unless as a last resort. That is all I think of whenever I hear their commercials on the radio. In all,

Richard Johnson Appliance Specialist did an excellent job of showing us the products that best fit our needs and providing answers to all of our questions.

Mostly high-end appliances (no simple 30" stoves on display, for example). Salesperson (Mike) was very informed, patient and helpful.
