If you live in an old house, and have mice in your attic that you can't seem to get rid of, the Orkin Therm division of Orkin Pest Control services can remove your old insulation and replace it with Orkin Therm insulation, which is pest resistant. Their product had much higher r rating than what was put into our house 30 years ago. Seems to have eliminated our mouse problem (as they also sealed up access routes, but also our house is benefitting from much better insulation.
