While the service was prompt and accurate, and done the same day as called, the pricing is predatory. They wanted $300 to replace a top wire assembly on a washer machine that took about 20 minutes to repair. We settled on $250, which was still too high, but we needed the repair.

Our refrigerator died around 5 PM the night before Thanksgiving. I called several appliance repair companies including 2 that advertised as 24/7 companies none of whom could come out that night. Able sent a man late in the evening. He was apparently traveling all over northern Virginia doing emergency repairs that night. He quickly found the problem, told me the price, and then fixed it quickly as he had the parts. He was courteous, thorough, and able to complete the job properly. The price was high, $260.00 but well worth it given the late hour. By 11 PM the refrigerator was working properly and is still working 2 months later.

GE oven was stuck on "loc". Multiple attempts by me to reset per GE directions failed. Called Able and was told it would cost $69 to have a tech come out and diagnose. Tech arrived on time, jiggled the door switch and randomly hit buttons on the keypad. Control pad came back on. I asked him what he did so I could do myself the next time. He looked baffled and said he didn't know. Said he had "magic hands". Then he charged me $125. I did not get a diagnosis. I got a repair that was dumb luck. I called to inquire the next day about the upcharge, and was told by a woman she would have to check and call me back. It's been over a week with no response. Will not use these guys ever again. I will gladly pay for time spent including travel and a true repair. Five minutes, random luck and a snippy attitude don't justify the cost. Very bad business behavior.
