I needed advice on my current financial status, as I was considering a change in my living arrangements. After submitting information to him, all on line or by mail, he provided me with recommendations and a plan to streamline my investments. This was all done online. I was at first hesitant without first meeting him in person. However, I had done some research to find a reputable advisor. I did not need someone at this time to manage my resources. I just needed direction.

Paul Collinson has developed two financial plans for me. The first was roughly 5 years before retirement eligibility and the second was a year before. The first time I worked with Paul we had an introductory free of charge meeting to discuss my concerns. Based on that I was given an engagement letter that provided an estimate of the pricing. Paul's fee when I met in 2023 was $250/hour. I selected Paul because of his credentials and the fact that he is a fee-only financial planner who is a fiduciary. Paul was responsive to emails and the plan he presented provided specific instructions on where and what to invest in and the percentages as well as other steps to take (such as to secure a HELOC prior to retirement) to ensure financial health and well-being.
