Outstanding. Lyons Contracting is the best company we have ever dealt with in over 40 years of owning, maintaining and remodeling our older home. Tom Petrilli’s expertise, friendly and calm professionalism, availability and responsiveness are unequaled. Ismael and the roofing team were stupendous — leaving us with a beautiful new copper-trimmed slate roof, untrammeled Spring garden, boffo clean up, happy neighbors and peace of mind. It was a pleasure to have them here. Our new insurance company had given us less than three week’s notice to get replacement of our older slate roof underway to avoid an unexpected cancellation. I called four company’s for quotes and Tom was the only one who I didn't have to call back and chase down — fantastic communication. Tom’s knowledge and experience with the City’s historic district requirements and permitting process expedited the approval process. He assembled all the documentation the insurance company demanded. Lyons’ price was much lower than the highest we got and only a very little above the other two, but Tom made what started as an anxiety insurance nightmare for me into a calm experience. Priceless. The happy memory of seven hardworking men singing on our roof will stay with us for a long time. The job was started and completed as scheduled, artisan quality workmanship, and we couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend without any reservations.

Tom Petrilli, owner of Lyons Contracting, is the consummate expert and advisor on things related to roofing. He has the knowhow and the willingness to take care of any problem, including even discovering another problem on our roof while he was at our housetop replace a cracked skylight that left untreated could have caused major water damage to our living room/sunroom roof. Lyons Contracting was one of 13 companies who bid on my new roof and I selected them as a result of a friend's recommendation as well as my interaction with Tom Petrilli concerning details of this project. The scheduling went well and the crew worked like demons from the moment they arrived. Communication was good and everything went as planned. The cleanup of the old shingles, nails, etc. was thorough and fastidious. Don't even consider paying the prices quoted by the outfits who are on the radio all day long telling you how easy a new roof can be and what excellent discounts they offer this week; they will charge double what Lyons did, and for the identical materials.
