Hard to find employee to direct me to the right aisle for what I'm looking for. Last time I was there, a customer directed me to the right aisle and even followed me to assist in what I needed. I will go to Home Depot instead from now on.

I needed a new dishwasher, so researched dishwashers (DW), I wanted a black (NOT stainless steel) DW and online found a great sounding, highly rated by its owners Whirlpool DW on sale at Lowes! I went to Lowes in Fairfax, no staff were around, that DW though on sale, wasn't on the floor. Then I went to Home Depot, 7 corners, it wasn't on the floor, no staff around, so went to Lowe's Alexandria. My DW wasn't on display there either, but a knowledgeable clerk was, who said "too many available to have all on display" but she was great answering my questions, so I ordered it sight-unseen--a first. It was installed yesterday--less than a week after I ordered it-- FLAWLESSLY by Lowe's installer "Mega Plumbing." The whole process was SO EASY! The DW clerk at Lowe's Alexandria knew them, ordered everything perfectly, gave me all the info to follow up, if needed. The installers called me quickly to set an install appt, then came at the beginning of the window they stated. I AM SO IMPRESSED in this era of (way too often) poor service. I'll be back to Lowe's Alexandria for carpeting (a disaster at Home Depot, so I cancelled) and any other home item replacement/service I need.
