Very high priced for poor service. Had a high priced maintenance plan, they installed a new central ac unit and compressor, very expensive. It failed completely in 7 years have to buy a whole new unit now. They used inferior products such as compressor booster to make unit more efficient, charged supreme prices and because it was cheap, cut rate product, it burned out the compressor. The AC unit itself has always been sporadic, plus developed mold problem during first year, they charged a huge amount to put in a blueray unit that failed after 4 years. High priced, used inferior products and inferior service. They were always trying to sell pricey services or add on equipment though. Very good at that.

I have a service agreement. The cost to FDI beyond the service agreement is 2 to 3 times above average. I cannot justify in some cases.

WARNING - Do not use Michael and Son services. We used them to “maintain” our AC through their premier Gold plan. We trusted them and they failed us, in my opinion. I believe they were negligent in their maintenance of our system, negligent in installing our monitoring equipment or I believe they installed faulty equipment, and negligent in their response. They have responded in a dismissive and unhelpful way. They are here, in my opinion, to take your money but not provide quality service or even basic levels of service. Despite our unit being inspected and our monitoring equipment being inspected (and previously installed) by Michael and Son this season, our AC still flooded and the sensors that Michael and Son installed failed to work at all. Instead of acknowledging their mistakes and taking at least partial responsibility, we are instead forced to seek legal council and pursue claims through the courts and/or our insurance company. DO NOT TRUST OR USE. RUN FAR AND QUICK. Also, their management has no sense of personal accountability and have passed us from person to person, often simply dropping off the face of the earth while they supposedly consult with other parts of the business only to be confronted and immediately provide an excuse and non-response. They are very shady in that way, in my opinion. We are out thousands of dollars so there is no value to their services so far as I can tell.
